Ways to popularize your Android app on Google Play

Ways to popularize your Android app on Google Play

Android apps are gradually turning out to be a profitable. However, Apple’s iOS apps dominant in monetization, but Android is also getting good response and developers are seeing improvements in monetization from apps based on this platform. But Google Play has more than 700,000 apps, and it is of course a crowded market to easily get lost. Until your apps are seriously good, there is no chance you will succeed. But another way is you do something to popularize your apps. The article covers some tips that help you popularize your android applications on Google Play.

Let app development and marketing go parallel.
If you are purely an Android developer and do not have any experience in online product marketing or promotion, this point is particularly helpful for you. Many mobile developers wait for a marketing plan until their app projects ends up. But the best idea is you let the development and marketing go parallel. By this way you will have created good publicity for an app when you will release it.

You should choose right channels to market your applications. For example, choosing LinkedIn for your gaming app is not a good idea. You also do not need to write lots of fashionable blogs if your app is a business app. So, whatever you do on social media for your applications, your efforts need to be relevant.

SEO for Google Play Page
As soon as you submit your app on Google Play, begin SEO for the app page. People will not be able to discover your app unless you put the link of the app page in articles, blog posts and social media sites. It just takes few minutes to make a link share worthy but once these are available on the web, they prove to be quite fruitful.

The content and description on the app page also affect the app search. When you write content for this page, you need to be specific. Use the selected and exact keywords/key-phrases so that users can easily discover your app.

The app should be named in a smart way. The name is supposed to clearly reflect the purpose of an app. Icons also attract users. Try to make an icon that tells what exactly the app is all about.

Involve your Employees, Friends and Family
The first couple of days on Google Play are pretty crucial. You need more and more downloads and ratings at this point. For this reason, you can ask your employees, friends and family to download and rates applications. The Google Play keeps eye on how many downloads an app is getting in the first few days. If your app succeeds to get a good number of downloads and attain good ratings, there are chances that Google Play put it in its Top lists.

These are the three most important steps you can take to market your Android apps on Google Play.

Google Play - will it beat iTunes ?

Google Play - will it beat iTunes ?

Google’s bold move – Google Play seems to be a challenge for iTunes. The company has gathered its e-book, music, video rental, and Android app’s Market under one umbrella. Now, Google is all set to play the Apple’s game.

You will not find Google Music, Google Books and Android Market on the locations where you saw them two weeks earlier. Yes, they have been moved to a brand new place known as Google Play. The company has brought its all digital media contents at single place that allows you to tap into 20,000 free songs and buy one of your choices from millions, browse e-books, rent your favorite movies and download Android apps. Use any web browser or Android device to access these stuffs. This allows Google to go toe-to-toe with Apple’s iTunes.

Experts say that this move of Google is too-late as iTunes already holds 70% share of digital music market. They suspect if Google Play would be able to become like iTunes and Amazon. Whatever the consequences will be, it’s really a bad news for rivals in the area including Apple and Amazon.

The company wants to make the process of accessing entertainment-stuffs easier than ever before; it’s going to be easier than Apple’s iTunes. User can use any browser and any computer to play with Google Play. Accessing this place using Android OS based phone is as quicker as blinking eyes.

Both Apple and Amazon have cloud-based entertainment services but nothing is comprehensive like Google Play. This place is dedicated to openness – a mindlessly simple place where things work regardless of the types of operating systems. This facility cheers-up consumer but for Apple and Amazon, it’s a headache.

This step also shows that the search engine giant is now getting matured. However, it still needs to do a lot exercise to become the mighty one. With ‘Play’, Google powers non-Apple-device users to live iTunes moments. It’s going to be a perfect hangout for users with not-so-costly Android OS based devices.

‘Play’ sounds dedicated to entertainment, and beyond downloading Android apps, it offers all your entertainment stuffs in one place. Like Apple and Amazon, Google users will also have the power of cloud. Share what you want and find music you love. You can buy music, listen it now or listen it anytime and anywhere. There is no need of sync. You can offer your friend a free listen too. Find books you love, buy one of your choices, and read it anytime, anywhere. Find a movie you always wanted to watch and watch it now or later.

Google Play

Google Play

Google has become synonymous with innovation. They have been estimated to run over a million servers and process over a billion search requests daily. Anyone who knows technology knows that Google is no longer simply the leading search engine. The company offers email service, document trading, a social networking service and even its own web browser. Google took the lead in the development of the Android mobile operating system, one of the only phones that competes with Apple’s constantly upgrading iPhone.

In true Google form, they’re now paving the way on an entirely new project—Google has taken lead on a new digital entertainment destination where you can keep and share your favorite music, movies, books and apps all in one place. Google Play uses cloud computing to store all your entertainment, so you can access it from anywhere at any time. Cloud computing is also a great way of storing your information because you never have to worry about moving your files or losing them, if anything should happen to your computer.

While developers are thrilled to release Google Play, some wanted to go with the name “Google Market” to stay with the Android Market theme and to more accurately describe some of the features it offers. Their position is that “Play” doesn’t convey the fact that Android has created some very innovative enterprise communication tools, which can all be used in a work setting. Google wanted no confusion between their newest offering and Windows Phone Marketplace, which is why they went with “Play” instead.

Google Play will be featured in Google’s black bar, which will attract many more potential customers than Android could alone. In fact, according to StatCounter’s February data, 27.24 of the Web’s pageviews are viewed in Chrome, compared to the 1.93 percent in Android.

So what exactly can you do with Google Play? You can buy close to any kind of music you’d like, with millions of options, as well as store up to 20,000 songs for free. You’re free to browse one of the world’s largest selections of eBooks, download over 450,000 Android apps and games and even rent some of your favorite movies, all in one place. Google has shown an interest in offering movies for sale, but that portion is still in the works.

For those with Android Market, Google eBookstore or Google Music, these will all become Google Play, and the Android Market app will be upgraded on your phones or tablets in the upcoming weeks. Will this have any affect on page rankings and SEO? As a search engine optimization company, we believe every Google creation will have some kind of affect on our business. While the jury is still out on Google Play, we'll keep you updated as we learn more.

Star Wars Mmo Rpg Jedi Guardian Play Test

Star Wars Mmo Rpg Jedi Guardian Play Test
If I am to play a Star Wars MMO like Star Wars: The Old Republic, then it should become almost all about the lightsabers. So naturally, when enlisting with Master Oteg AKA Yoda to fight off the Imperial forces, I chose the Jedi Guardian class, the only one on show that gets up in close proximity and personal with the dangerous fellas. I'm not an MMO fanatic - the last one to essentially seize my curiosity was World of Warcraft - so excuse me if i do not know all the current lingo or use WoW as a reference point.

The Jedi Guardian focuses on just a few different areas: crowd management with space stuns and pushes, particular person lockdowns, close fight melee attacks, and the occasional taunt or pull. He is sort of a combination between Warrior and Mage, able to channel Focus to deliver a wide range of assaults individually or to assist the group. In nearly every case, I was first to run up to hack/slash a foul man, layering armor discount stacks (ugh, stack management) after which making an attempt to lock them down with either Force Stasis or a stun attack.

Throughout our Flashpoint occasion, there have been many occasions when jungle creatures would emerge from the ground to attack the social gathering, which allowed me to channel my space attacks. I had a few at my disposal, together with a Power sweep, which might harm surrounding enemies with an opportunity to stun, and an assault that will slam down on the ground, knocking enemies back.
This was my first time palms-on with The Old Republic, and it was all utterly familiar and easily accessible. I undoubtedly had method too many expertise to keep observe of for being newly introduced to the game, however inside minutes, I knew which key chains I wanted to leverage to be most effective. A little too late did I uncover my larger abilities that allowed me to leap at enemies and stab them, or pull them in for some saber action.

What actually grabbed me had nothing to do with combat, but the way the mission began. My squad of 4 approached Grasp Oteg to get the small print, and during our briefing, we every have been offered with completely different responses to what was being said, which gets resolved randomly. So far as this SWTOR demo goes, this dialog wheel-lite was the one BioWare conference visible.

Truthfully, I used to be just a little greatly surprised by my experiences with SWTOR. It's been on my radar as the MMO to get me again into playing MMOs, after having left the highly addictive World of Warcraft put up-Burning Crusade. Yet, now that I've performed it, I realize it's more akin to WOW than I originally thought, which isn't necessarily unhealthy, just not what I anticipated from a BioWare RPG. No matter expectations, what I performed was participating, interesting, and had the suitable blend of gameplay to keep me from being bored throughout an hour-long demo. And as a Star Wars fan, it was definitely a blast to be adventuring with blasters and Force powers, and never inside Star Wars Galaxies.
The Old Republic is certainly a video game that still has my attention, The Old Republic is certainly a game that still has my attention. If I've learned nothing, it's to think about BioWare. And besides, some idiot decided to duel me while ready for everyone else, and that i completely 0wned him.

Star Wars The Old Republic Release Date is coming to PCs later this year. Who knows when, but I am guessing summer.
